Dipstick tube removal

How the heck do you get the dipstick tube out of the block on an 05 6.0? I thought it just pulled out doesn't it? I can't budge it and don't want to braek it but can't pull the head with it in unless I remove the exhaust manifold.

The only thing holding it in is an o-ring at the bottom and the nut on the left valve cover bolt. However, if it has never been out, that darn o-ring holds it in pretty good. If you have a assistant have them pull from the top while you grab it with some needle noses from the bottom and pry against the block and up. Maybe try a twisting motion while pulling up.
