Flushing transmission
Is there any way to truly flush all the fluids out of your transmission without taking anything apart I've always been told when you change your tranny fluid your really only able to change what's in the pan and the converter holds all the rest so how do they do it at shops

Mercon SP and Mercon LV are the approved fluids for the 5R110 Torqshift transmission. A heated flush machine is needed to properly flush the system capacity. A drain and refill will not get the entire system purged as there is an internal thermostat not readily accessible.

I'm gonna revive this thread cause I've heard there is a way to drain the converter without the machines I'm just not sure how. So if anyone has instructions or a pub on how to do it I would appreciate it.

I was told of a way that you take off the return line from your trans cooler and run the truck til you get air bubbles then stop refill and repeat til you get good clean fluid coming out or something along those lines.
