Thank god for warranties

So while changing my oil the other day I noticed a drip of oil on the bottom of the engine looked as though the rear main seal may have a leak so called the dealership where I bought the truck and made appointment to go have it looked at. Well they just confirmed my thoughts your rear main seal is leaking. Great so what's this mean. They said well we are getting you a rental car and will have your truck for about a week also you will have a 100 dollar deductible. I said sure for a hundred dollars and something to drive cheaper than diesel let's do this. Without the warranty this would have either cost me a fortune or cost me many hrs myself to fix. Not that is matters but any ideas on what this would have cost me just curious

Mine was back in 5 hours! Keep an eye on it though, the rear engine cover leaks on the 6.0, and looks like a rear main, mine did

Well this sucks I hope they can get it back together quicker than a week. I usually do all my own maintenance but figure its under warranty so ill use it but now im questioning weather or not they know what they are talking about. Maybe I should have tore into it myself and looked to see what it is whatever they will just keep seeing it til its resloved either way I guess I need this truck for work though and works starts back april 2nd
