ok guys so heres the video of whats going on



only happens when the doors are closed and I remove the key, and it freaks out until the door opens and its a P0606 code, but only after it does this.


So I now have new batteries, removed an alarm that was on for about a year, chased to down to the left (black) tab on the top of the gauge cluster that once removed it wont do this, but a lot of things stop working then. So I bought a new cluster to try that and its still doing it. Is it the PCM? I would have thought it would have the code while driving or if the PCM had an issue it wouldnt run. also does the PCM have to be matched for the VIN of the truck or could I just pop one in and see if it works? Thanks guys

Was the alarm spliced into the wiring harness for the PCM like mine?
If I wiggle the wires my doors will lock and unlock, it's such a mess I'm just going to leave it alone

No it was tied into the ignition harness, door locks on the drivers side footwel, head lights, and dome light. All that was taken out since the brain never worked quite right on it and I was tryin to eliminate different possibilities

Does anyone know if you can just swap a new PCM in and your good to go or if it has to be tuned for the specific truck?

Wow, sorry the new cluster didn't work buddy. I don't know about the PCM, but here is a bump for ya!

Holy crap. That thing is posessed. I would say there is a short or a fried board somwhere. Isnt that thing under warranty? You can try another PCM. If it doesnt work just switch back but.I doubt thats your issue if it only does it when the doors are closed.

Ok, so the ford mechanic figured it out, it's the vehicle security module, when that's unplugged it doesn't do this but my drivers door switches and keyless entry don't work either. So I'll be trying to find one of those and verify that's it
