Two different 6.0s?
For s's and g's, I was browsing through the vin breakdown for Ford vehicles.
I saw in the breakdown for vin position 8, it said that there were two different letters for the 6.0 powerstroke; one says that the engine was made by international and has a hp/tq rating of 230/620 and the other was labeled as a 6.0 efi made by navistar which is rated at 235/325. I know that international navistar is one company, but what gives? Was one for cab & chassis or what? Last edited by schrumbum08; 03-04-2012 at 07:22 PM. |

I think what you were seeing is the VT365 which was the original design and lower hp and put in medium duty trucks, freightliner etc. Then you have the 325 hp powerstroke which is in our trucks

Alright, thanks. I knew there was some distinguishing difference but I didn't know what it was.
