Order BPD EGR Cooler

Ok guys I have a question so today the Little lady and I took a trip for a couple of hours. So my temps ECT- EOT were 178 and 192 while running about 65mph. So I am planning on doing the egr cooler from BPD in the future I am just wondering how if I should push it and get it done now or if I could hold out? I do not want my waiting to cause any more damages. Currently I have no signs of coolant puking. The second thing I was wondering is if I should just replace the oil cooler with an OEM one or is it worth the cost for the full bulletproof system. My truck is my daily driver and rarely does much towing. It currently sits at 109K

Well I am a senior in college and cash is always tight. My question is will I see the return in spending the money for the full bullet proof oil cooler than compared to a replacement OEM oil cooler

LMAO you will know when you replace it with a stock one and it goes bad again. After you replace one you never want to do it again let alone having to pay for it.

Depends man if the new oil cooler is all you can afford that's your answer man, the bulletproof system is really expensive so maybe a few years down the road you could do that

True and if you maintain your coolant system properly you will never need to worry.

Will the BPD oil cooler give me any other advantage other than the increased reliability? Also with adding the winter package will my truck warm up quicker in the winter?

The winter package is designed to maintain proper oil temps in cold weather.

How long of a drive are you going on and seeing 178 degree ECT's?

Sounds like what you need is actually a new thermostat
