?'s for a long drive
Hey guys so I am in Afghanistan right now. My wife and my truck are in Wisconsin but my father in law is going to be driving my truck back up to Alaska for me before i get back.
I wanted to see if you all had some suggestions as far as what do and look for before he leaves for the 3k+ mile trip. I just got new tires put on and it will be getting a full service before it leaves. He will be pulling a small trailer that the truck shouldn't even feel behind it so i'm not so worried about that... any other suggestions that i should tell him seeing as how i am fairly new to the 6.0 and he has no experience with one. I have no current mods or monitors. Thanks for any info guys. |

Diesel, diesel diesel! And, Diesel!
A few bottles of Diesel Kleen white bottle for the trip. Have Him add it at every fueling. Get him something to monitor with. Scangauge II, or Edge, or android app, or even dash boss. Extra fuel filters in case he fuels up with bad fuel. Have them fuel at truck stops as much as possible. Does it need oil change? Thanks for your service. |
