Gauge/Monitor

Hey all, just wanted a few suggestions on this. I am going to get a monitoring system so I can see how the truck is running, but I only need the monitoring system, not the tuner. I want to add a few supporting mods before I go tuning it. With that said, what are some suggestions? I want to stay around $200ish. I like the edge Insights, but for the price they sell those for, I might as well get the tuner as well. Thanks guys!

I like the plug and play system and that is the Edge Insight CTS or CS, i have the edge now but going to upgrade to the CTS with the edge you can add the pyro scangauge you need another gauge, edge you can run 8 things at one time Scangauge 4, i have never used the scangauge but they say it is harder to setup.

If you search around deals can be had. If you use different search terms on Fleabay like "product edge" or "cts edge", you can pick up the deals from Quebec that sometimes slip past the normal searchs due to the language difference. I got my CTS brand new shipped for $178 Canadian.

If you own a iPad/iPhone/iTouch then you could use the DashBoss. The OBDII Bluetooth module $170, iTunes app $5, then add in for fuel psi and EGT $104.50. That puts you at $280+shipping.
DashBoss monitoring review.

If you have an android phone, you can use the Torque app. But will need separate fuel psi and EGT gauges.

Then don't forget about the ScangaugeII, but will need separate fuel psi and EGT gauges.

Then add in $104.50 for fuel and EGT gauges, you are into complete monitoring for $139.50. Bummer, That's too dang cheap!

And the Torque APP data logs every trip (if you want it to), with or with out a google map of where you drove. Then just e-mail it to your self, through your phone.

Now, how much memory does the Edge or Scangauge II have for storage?

My phone only has a measly 2 GB.

Does the iPhone app require a certain bluetooth adapter? Which BT adapter works for the iphone?

But I must admit, I still do have the Scangauge II.

And the developer is working on a bug I found in the data log. That will be fixed soon. New stuff I guess!

!
Yes, you must use the DashBoss OBDII GATEWAY BLUETOOTH module. This module had a plug/wire that lets you add sensors (fuel psi/EGT) to be read right on the phone, no need for extra analog gauges and mounting pods.

You can read the DashBoss link I posted, the DashBoss module is $170, DashBoss app $5, DashBoss pigtail/wire $1.50, Fuel psi sensor $30, EGT probe $53, EGT 5v amplifier $20.
