coolant question
If you just had ur coolant tested and it was fine would you flush it or leave it alone.. im adding a coolant filter this week as well

Seems like a waste of money to flush it if it tested good. That is, unless you are switching from Ford Gold to CAT EC-1.
If you do decided to flush it though make sure to run the coolant filter for at least 4000 miles before hand. That way you get a lot of the casting sand out. Last edited by dieselmatt; 02-28-2012 at 03:54 PM. |

i believe that it depends on what type of coolant is in there apparently you need a elc rated (should be red in color) also i believe that you are supposed to run the coolant filter for a while before flushing. this is just my take on it from reading all the posts. sure someone else will chime in.
