Problem Free 6.0??

Reading through all the fourms I have read, there are a bunch on here reporting turbo, injector, FICM, HPOP, Oil cooler, EGR, etc. issues. How many owners have problem free trucks with proper maintenance?

I don't think anyone has gotten over 100,000 miles without having some issues here and there. At the same time I've had customers with close to 200,000 that had only minor issues like EGR valves or simple sensor issues.

I just had a guy who was the original owner of a 05 excursion that had 175,000 on it and the only thing he'd had done was the STC fitting under warranty. At the same time he brought me the truck due to hard starting issues and loss of coolant and I had to do an oil cooler, EGR delete, and he needs about 3 injectors......

It is not a 6.0 thing...ask anyone with a truck, any year any motor, there is not an issue free truck. Yes, with proper maintenance, the 6.0 is a great truck. They all have their issues, it's just the 7.3 was stout and you could get away with little to no maintenance, the 6.0 is the opposite. When you had people coming from the 7.3 buying the 6.0 they didn't know better, issues came by the boatload. Take care of it, she will treat you right. (most of the time)

Superduties are known for sticky calipers. They just seize up.
