Mann Oil Filter

We have had the proven history of aftermarket filters failing. This is a new aftermarket(to Ford) oil filter, hopefully this one is different.
Mann 6.0L 6.4L oil filter ML-1047
Ford 6.0 and 6.4 Liter Turbo Diesel Racor Filtration PFL2016 Oil Filter(FPL-2016) - Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks

Now with my father's 6 Porsche's and 1 Mercedes. Mann is the OEM, and considered to be the best OEM choice for replacement filters due to its OEM/HIGH quality... I hope this ties over to our oil filter... That would be cool

I ordered 1 to try it out. My intervals are 8,000miles with the bypass oil filter and soon to be 10,000 miles.

Wow, $5 difference.

The Ford dealer that USED to do my oil changes always used the Prime guard filters. Never had a problem, but since doing my own changes, I use Racor. Have ever since. Someone on the ORG has been using Prime Guards for a while, with no issues.

Wonder, how many years does a "patent" on filters last?

I ran a bunch of Prime Guard filters, about 35k miles worth, and never had a problem with them.

I looked at the details for the Mann on Dieselfilters web site using the link Steve posted and it says they are made by Racor.

Did you get one? I ordered one with this last order. Did you notice the check valve in the top of the filter?
