my 6.0 is quick... well i thought

so friday night i raced a cammed ta ws6 and beat him, then last night i went up to springfield and was running around and did a rolling start with a dmax and spanked me... that dam thing was screaming kid said he just had a edge on it...dont believe it. I raced a edge older style truck and spanked it... this thing had to have twins. how fast are those new dmaxs on the edge?

Well I'm one of the fastest trucks in my area with my looney wild and last night i spanked and edge duramax but then this other duramax had ppe 350hp tune i guess? And anyways I still beat him but he was at my tailgate tell 100mph

There fast! Buddies stock dmax will stay right next to my other buddies 03 6.0 with nothing but an sct running the canned extreme tune.

All dmaxes are fast, even stock ones... It has something to do with the trucks being built light and crappy...

Actually i think its a rumor about Duramaxs being so much lighter than Superdutys. My buddies 02 2500HD with 4 inch lift and 35s with 20s weighs 7850lbs. My 05 F250 leveled on 35s and 20s also, weighs 7820lbs. Both was weighed on a CAT certified scale. I understand his is lifted but it still weighed 30lbs more.

well im bullet proof and on extreme race mode... i got the hole shoot and he was leaving me there was about two links or more when we hit 80 and he was still gaining. this was a newer probably a 2010 dmax... and the 06 dmax i raced didnt have a chance. the turbo on that new one was screaming sounded nothing like that 06

so ? then whats the best tune for the sct to fix my problem?... or whats the next thing i need to do to it? turbo? snow water/meth kit?

Injectors turbo tranny etc from what I gather just a tune on a 6.0 the most people see is between 420 - 460 a duramax with built tranny and lift pump can see 550 that's a pretty big difference to make up for

How deep are you're pockets? You could do a power max, injectors, Ficm tune, meth, but with all that new hp/tq you may need a built transmission soon as well

This is true. The actual Duramax motor can do 550hp on stock turbo and stock injectors with just a lift pump and EFI live tuned. Now the tranny won't hold and the tie rods and center link won't take a 4 wheel drive launch with that kind of power. So the money they spend trying to make the truck handle the motor, we spend making the motor make that kind of power. Our drivetrain will take it. Stock. I say try someone else custom tune on your SCT. A new tune is cheap (40-50 bucks) and it might give you the power your looking for.
