I just bought my first Diesel an 04 F250 Crew Cab short bed 6.0 with a 153K miles on it.
It's a nice clean truck but and I I got a great deal on it because the check engine light and battery light were on.
The battery light was because the regulator on the alternator was going out and I fixed that last night.
The CEL was on because of injectors 2-8 circuit low error codes and a FICM performance code (so said the shop that inspected the truck before I bought it) but codes were cleared when we changed the alternator so I couldn't verify them.
So I did some research on here and found how to test the FICM and performed the test. I'm getting 47 VDC key on/engine off, 46.5 VDC starting, and 47 VDC running. So I didn't pull the FICM to re-solder it since the test good.
All last night the CEL was off but on the way to work this morning it came back on. I checked the codes and found a P0267 and P0276 (Injector 3 and 6 low circuit)
The truck starts fine (as far as I know, it's my first Diesel) and seems to run well so I'm not seeing the common symptoms that I've been reading about in other threads with cold starts or no starts.
Any ideas? Stuck injector? Maybe a bad electrical connection on the injectors? Could the FICM be warming up then flaking out?
Thanks in advance for the help!
