6.0 from the bottom up, now I need advice.
My wife drives a 2005 F250 4wd crew cab short box bed, 6 speed manual with a 6.0. She drove this truck till it died (lifted head etc) at 180k miles. Initial diagnosis... Hydro lock when attempting to start, water and oil sharing both places, just bad news. I pulled the engine W/O pulling the cab, just removed the 6 spd. and transfer case first. After dis assembly, cleaning and evaluation of the damage and the machine shop repairs (heads and cylinder hone) I am preparing for reassembly.
My question is how do I line my crank and cam up properly? From what info. Ive been able to find this requires a $600.00 plus tool.
