oil cooler housing ?
hey guys, on my oiler cooler housing the coolant outlet port has a stainless sleeve with an blue o ring that is on the hose barb where the hose is that goes to egr cooler. it came off when i tried to pull hose off and dont think its a good idea to not put a new o ring in sleeve before putting back together but it didnt come in kit. do you guys change that o ring/sleeve when you have it apart? and is it available from ford separately or as a single part?

You need a hose. I'll find the part number and get back to you.

thanks bismic, is the part # for 2 different o rings or is 1 the sleeve, i didnt pull the other half of hose off old egr cooler yet , is there a sleeve and o ring on that end too cause the new hose seemed like it would just clamp on new egr cooler with out sleeve

The sleeve locks it into place. You have to decide if you want to go w/ OEM design or do your own thing w/ hose clamps.
IIRC the part numbers are only the o-rings. To verify that, you can call TousleyFordParts and ask them (or go to your local dealership). |
