need new ignition lock cylinder

so my luck finally ran out and some a$$hole stole my truck. i got it back but he f'ed up a few things. i have fixed the drivers door and handle/lock but now am moving on to the inside. he got it started by jamming a screwdriver into the ignition. so now i can start, drive and turn it off with no key. i called ford and the sell the ignition switches and say i can build it around my key. has anyone ever done this? i am definitely no locksmith but am great a following directions. i would assume the oem is the only way to go? please let me know your experience with this and how difficult it is. thanks

You get the switch I believe and put the tumbler from your old one in the new one, unless the tumbler is messed up, then you would have a bigger issue on your hands.
