Warranty?

I bought my truck used 06 F250-4x4 6.0 L longbed supercab.. 82,000 miles on it.,. What warranty does ford offer.. Limitations and such.. Does it transfer to me..??? Im new at this diesel stuff thanks..

unless you got an extended warranty of some sorts I wouldn't think you would have any warranty

You might have the remaining 18k miles left on your factory powerstroke warranty. That is with the assumption that it wasn't or isnt in risk of being voided by a mod or issue in the past from previous owners.

Im not sure if it's still available but Ford offered an extended warranty up to 200k miles for the 6.0 7.3 and the 6.4 for a few grand. I purchased it a few years ago and it paid for itself the first time it went in the shop. If you call Ford they can give you all the info you need.

the powerstroke warranty is only 5 years isn't it?

Not sure. I know the extended is 7 years 100k. It's still worth inquiring about with Ford.

Yes, the engine warranty is 100k mi. or 5 years unless you have an extended warranty.

The warranty does go with the truck so it would transfer to you, and the start date for it was when the truck was first sold, not when it was built.
