1st Payment almost Due, Still No PSD?

for a little up front history:

Upstate SC Neub...

and

Oasis Report here?

and lastly

Please Help Me Make the Right Choice!

To summarize all above...

I "bought" an (as is) 04 PSD from Local Chevy Store w/ 112K miles. One of my Best Friends is Used Sales Mgr-he sold it to me. PSD stopped running on way home from Chevy dealership. Gave me my Avalanche back to ride until repaired. That will be 4 weeks ago Monday.

Chevy tried to repair by replacing "oil filter" on top front of engine that had melted they replaced oil pump, pick up, timing cover, etc...over a course of 2 weeks. buttoned it all back together, and it wouldn't start....

They had it towed across street to Ford dealer...Ford Dealer has replaced the "High Pressure Oil System" at the rear of the engine? They thought it'd be ready this afternoon...just called...as they were filling Antifreeze, it was pouring out the tailpipe....Said it was the EGR/EGT or EGSomething...at rear of engine.....anyways told Chevy Dealer it'd be another $2K...they agreed, and now they are working on that...

whatdoyathink?

I'm not here whining, I have been treated very kind over the last month, although I'm anxious I do understand I am getting allot (good thing for your buddies huh?)for a vehicle purchased "AS IS"...and I believe when/if I do get it back...it'll be a better truck!

thanks
cale

Hell if thats the case you might get a new engine out of it ....keep your head up man, or get out of that truck and tell the dealer you want them to find you another one

Wow! hearing that if they don't replace the motor I don't know if I'd keep the truck. Hopefully it gets fixed right, but if not your going to be sitting there with a huge bill that the chevy dealership might not cover... Worst case scenario I know, but something to think about while you have the time.

being that im a ford diesel tech thats who WE are , and if it was melted that bad it will probably never be right , being the fact that its out of warranty isnt good , it takes at least 400 degrees to melt that stand pipe , gauranteed at that temp to have damaged egr cooler oil cooler , not to mention all that plastic that hardened up in the inside of the engine somewhere, ive got one here right now that had the same thing happened and the plastic inside the radiator is even deformed
