EGR delete or block and oil cooler question
I know a ford diesel tech near me. He has a guy weld the egr shut to keep it for show just incase a state trooper decides to be an a$$. Or should I just go with a complete delete. And another thing on the oil cooler he isn't replacing the whole thing just the elements or something in that line. Fll me in. And continue using the Gold coolant but putting and additive. Help me out. He said he would do whatever I want if I have a differnt route.

Me personally I did the complete delete but I dont have to worry to much about emissions or the state troopers. If you have the stock oil cooler rebuilt and you dont do the BPD cooler, then DO NOT run the gold coolant. Run the CAT ELC, its red, and get a coolant filter. While he is in there you should go ahead and replace your ICP and IPR, they are a PITA to change while its together. I see that you want studs, now would be a great time to do it because he will already be half way there. Another good idea would be to have him take the intake manifold all the way out and clean it. If it is an early '04 you need to get an updated turbo oil feed and drain tube also.
