Edge Evolution CTS vs Edge Insight CTS

For some reason when purchasing the edge insight CTS I had a rush of blood to the head and "Upgraded" to the Evolution CTS.

For some reason I had not run in to any posts that said to avoid this "Tuner". My plan is to just use the monitoring side of the Edge product until my extended warranty on the EX runs out, then add the usual upgrades and a tune.

I had not read that people only reccomend the SCT tuner as the gearbox timing is changed and that the edge tunes will trash the gearbox. Any advice? Sell the Edge Evolution on Ebay and buy the insight? live with it? can I add an SCT with the Evolution?

Depends on what your plans are with the truck. The Edge Evolution isn't that hard on the trans. So if your looking for mild performance and a bump up in power for daily driving, you'll be fine. It's the Edge Juice that damaged our trans.

If your planning on adding bigger injectors, turbo and or EGR delete (CEL),your better off with a programmer with custom tunes. This is where Bill at Power Hungry Performance (PHP) can convert the Edge EVO to his Gryphon that he can write custom tunes for the egr delet/injectors/turbo.

I have an edge insight cs that I'm going to be putting for sale soon if you end up selling it. Less than a year old and have box and everything it comes with new. I will have it for sale this weekend.

does anyone know how much it costs to convert the evolution to power hungry so i can run his programs i look on website and couldnt find any thing
