why not just get a bumper designed for a winch? the only thing i have seen that works on factory bumpers is to have a hitch receiver mounted to the front and then getting one of those removable winch adapters that mount to the receiver

honestly the only thing holding me back from getting a bumper is the fact that the bumper itself costs more than the actual winch. the winch i got is from badland winches

Mount it in the rear where the spare tire went, better weight balance, oversize tire will not fit there anyway.

Speaking of front-mount receivers. Anyone know what company makes/sells a front-mount receiver that doesn't require losing the fog lights?

I run a winch on my dodge, I did a solid mount behind the factory bumper. If I had to do it again, I would of went with the front receiver mount. There were times where I could of used the winch from the front receiver to the rear receiver.

ill take a pic for ya when I get home, working in alaska right now.

basically I got a ramsey worm gear driven winch off a fire truck for free. No aftermarket bumper would accomodate this beast. So I got out the old thinkin cap and a welder.

I bought the front receiver hitch from JC whitney I think. I even rigged up my OEM fog lights to work with the font receiver hitch. Then I made my own receivermounted winch carrier. I have used this thing a ton. I especially like it because I have hit 2 deer with my truck with no damage because they hit the winch first before my truck.

Also bought the heavy duty quick disconnects from northern tool for the power and I ran a large cable to the rear for the option of yanking my truck out from the rear (almost had to use this once).

but like I said, Ill take a picture when I get back home for ya
