anywhere on the net to download free 6.0 work manual ?
i need to work on my truck. i have a leak comming from top part of back of motor and i am diesel dumb and i would feel better if i had something to read if i needed too . ive nvr so much as took off a bolt off diesel

No real work manual for free out there. There are a few cheap places to get them online.
I have eautorepair.net, which is a mitchell DIY site. You can familiarize yourself with the engine by downloading the following books on the engine. (and yes, they are free) 2003.25 model year, the first version of the 6.0 2004 Model year. Full of the changes made to the engine for the 04 model year 2005 Model year. Changes to the engine for the 05 year. |

ok thanks a while ago i sent my wife to parts store to get me a chiltion and came back with hays and dnt really show anything about motor

The Chilton and Haynes manuals just outright suck. Period. They might help you change the oil and show where your muffler is, thats about it.

yea i agree. not for a gaser they ant that bad ive always bought a chiltion for every car i have ever owned but the one i got for the 6.0 is useless to me .best thing i could do with it is burn it to keep me warm whileim working on it

You can find 90% of what you need on the various forum searches.
That being said, paper copies and DVD's are on ebay frequently. |

yes i agree that i can type in something on my motor and it will show me what i need to do to fix it but. lol if i dnt know what the part is called im still stuck lol u know ? i would rather have something i can look thru and show me how to fix repair or replace . i will keep looking tho. thanks for all the imput

The 6.0L bible is a VERY good source to get to know the engine and the terminology. AllData and Helms seems to be what a number of folks use. Also, many people have had success taking pics and posting them if they had questions (just in case you don't find a WSM).
