New to me 06 Harley

Just wanted to say thanks for all the info on here. And to give a special shout out to forddieseldoctor for his help during my long search for a truck.

Flew in to Texas Thursday and drove about 14 hours back home. Was a little uneasy going that far without having a cheaper abort option but the truck was everything the previous owner said it was and more. It had all the factory options I was looking for plus some add ons that I would have done within the first month (bed cover and spray in liner). And then there were a few more that I would have never done but super nice to have (DVD player and air bags with compressor).

Engine is stock for now, has been 83,000 trouble free miles and serviced religiously. Not looking for anything major, just reliability stuff in mind.

The head unit is a Pioneer AVIC-Z1. It's got buttons under it but a lot of the settings are touch screen. It's a pain to get it to go to the right selection and the screen is impossible to see if it is bright outside. I'd have preferred the stock radio or one with less features that just had an input to play the rear DVD player through the speakers instead but I'm sure I'll get used to it at some point. I have the TomTom app on my iPhone so no need for the built in GPS. XM is nice but I stream stuff off my iPhone...

The rear dvd is an Alpine TMX-R1000. The DVDs are inserted in the base that is located in the rear center console. I have to select AV input from the head unit and it plays the sound through the speakers. All controls are on the monitor.

I guess you could say that the head unit is my only complaint. I'm extremely happy with the rest of the truck. I wanted a roll and lock cover and this thing has a similar brand that opens and closes automatically. Which is just cool.

Sweet rig man. I'm with you on the head unit complaints lol.

I'm actually glad I got the leather bench in the rear, I cover it with Blakey and now my black lab Oso goes everyware with me.

I love the buckets in the rear just don't work for me lol
