Should there be a hose attached here...?

I just got the truck back from having Headgaskets done and I have a quick question. In the attached picture of the heater or A/C box on the passenger side firewall should there be a hose or something attached to the hole where the small nail is sticking out in the lower right corner. That is as far as the nail goes in. It looks like a tab or something might have been broken off. Thank you for the help.

I took a look at mine, and have no idea why there is a nail in yours. It looks like a Allen key fits in the inside, but looks to be made of plastic.

I'm sure fishermanwill put the nail in to indicate what he was referring to when the picture was posted.

I agree that it's just a plug for an opening that may be used when this same heater box is on another model/year vehicle.

I did put the the nail in there to show the hole I was talking about. Thanks for letting me know I will check for a Allen wrench. Thank you.
