turbo hose
Where is the cheapest place to get a replacement turbo hose, the one at the turbo. Dealer wants $55. Is this an average cost? Thanks for any replies.

My guess for the "cheapest place" would be at a Pull-a-Part yard. The $55 is dealer cost I believe (I just looked this up on FordParts.com earlier today...and I think TousleyFordParts.com had roughly the same price). The OEM part is not oil-resistant though and in my opinion it is worth it to upgrade to an oil-resistant boot unless you also adopt inline filtration of the CCV system to capture the oil vapor accompanying the crankcase gas recirculated through the intake for emissions control.

I went ahead and bought a full set from RiffRaff Diesel.
One is rotten, the rest are going. I don't remember what I paid. |
