Anyone done the broken radiator pet**** delete mod?
Well I was under the truck still looking for my small coolant leak after my EGR delete, and just wanted to make sure the pet**** was tight, so I just tightened it with my fingers and the bastard broke off! The hex part where the wrench goes on it is what broke off, the rest is still in there and not leaking. I stopped at the dealer and a new one is only $10 but it will take them a while to order it in. I went to oreilly's and had them look it up and here is what they said to use.
![]() ![]() It was only $4, do you guys think it will work? |

This thread is the exact reason why I save all the old ones on every radiator I replace. The more 6.4L rads that come in needing replacement, the more of these I get to collect!!!

Well, when you find out, let me know. Mine just fell a part in my fingers when I did my coolant flush. It's in there, and doesn't leak, but will want to fix that sometime.

I cant belive how cheap the factory ones are. It shouldn't break like that! I know I should be able to get it out fairly easy but I want to make sure this one works.
