Fummins swap. 6.0 is headache

Not sure where to put this so mods please move to right thread

I got a 03 f-350 4dr longbed 6.0l auto on 40s.
i have dumped thousands of dollars in this junk 6.0 an im tired of it.its either hpop,injectors,or head gaskets an also have put on 2 turbos an its studded.truck has 196k on it

anyways im gonna just bite the bullet an prolly be hated for it but i got a good 12v in the shop an im lookin for info on the swap.Ive searched it already an only found adapters an stuff but nothing on what alls involved

can any1 help once its completed the motor and programmer will be up for grabs. thanks

Not gonna be hated here. A lot of the guys on here would like to do a swap. I'm not one of them, I love my 6.0 BTW,

I can't personally give you any info to help. However, there's a local guy that I ran into the other day that had swapped a 5.9HO into his 06 F250 and he adapted it to the Torqueshift. I thought that was great, considering how much more the Torqueshift can handle over a 48RE (stock vs stock). I would also think the extra gears would make it a good bit faster and more driveable.

Yea, I looked under the hood of this guys Fummins and there was TONS of room all around the motor to get to everything. It looked pretty simple.

My cousin is running the TorqShift. They make an adapter with a stand alone controller.

destroked.com is basically a one-stop-shop for a conversion.. They should be able to help you out with anything and everything

I'm not gonna bash them because I have no personal experience, but ny cousin called and tried to deal with them and they wouldn't help him at all. Basically told him that it was too big of a job for someone to do and he should just take it to them. Didn't offer any suggestions or anything and he was ready to purchase everyhting.
