Cat delete issues

I installed my cat delete pipe today. The flange on the pipe is flat unlike the old one which has a tapered edge. I knew it wasnt airtight, but when i started it up it whistled out of the leak. Has anyone expierenced this and have advice on how to fix it?

I installed mine after a 4" banks upgrade. No flanges, I used band clamps I got from International. They don't leak and putting the cat back on for emissions testing is a snap. If you get the stainless ones they don't rust and are quickly removable. They come in all sizes.
