double check on tstat
Yesterday my tstat layed the inevitable egg. Couldn't get the truck over 160* no matter what. It had been running in the low 180 range and would drop to 178 under a no load downhill condition.
Swapped it out today and now it's running between 186 and 192. 186 being downhill no load, 192 being uphill full load. And the oil temp seems to hold solid at 191 except under wot, then it climbs up a few degrees and begins dropping back after 10 seconds of normal driving. Does this sound right for a new tstat? Seems right to me anyway. |
