Need exhaust help. Resonator?

I just had a MBRP 4" TB exhaust (with muffler, no cat)put on my truck while it was in for studs. It has a good deep tone to it during acceleration. It sounds good, except for the in cab drone around 2000 RPM. Wonder if a resonator would help get rid of that? Will it hurt the performance of the exhaust system at all? I like the "big block" sound of the exhaust, I just cant deal with the drone at highway speed, or even when it idles a little high when its cold.

I had to put the mbrp resonator on my old duramax and it tone the exhaust down alot. The truck was loud and it probably cut it by a 1/3. Not sure if it would eliminate your drone but it would probably change the rpm you have it. you mount them as far forward as you can. The resonator is just a short straight through muffler so I don't think i will effect performance much. Another thing is MBRP says that if you turn the muffler one way it is louder inside the cab than if it is turned the other way. I don't remember which direction to turn it to make it quieter inside though. I've been wondering if the 6.0L 4" TB MBRP had any drones as I am about to order an exhaust for this truck. I think I'm getting old I like it quiet inside now!

It's really not bad, I think I'm just getting old too lol. It really does have a good sound to it.

Make sure its not rubbing the firewall anywhere. Mine had that problem. Fixed it. Drone went bye bye

I used a 17" fte resonator and it was night and day over a straight pipe. I took it off cause it was to quiet. I could only imagine how quiet a 30" would be. You could hear the exhaust some when heavy accelerating but the drone I had at 2200 rpm was GONE.
