this isnt right is it

ok im doing my studs and egr delete. well every thing was going well till i went to take the oil filter houseing off and the hoodie caught the black plastic piece with the big spring. i didnt at first know i did anything till i found a smaller sping hooked to my hoodie u can see the smaller spring in the middle so what all am i missing?

The button and spring on the top is for the oil filter bypass. You will need to repalce the center section of the oil filter housing if it broke.

I wouldn't say it's broke per say just the button popes off I'll see if I can find it but if not I'll get one from one of the part outs on here. Elvis by chance do u like in Texas ?

Dont live in Texas... Got some family out there, spent some time in a small town that we couldnt buy booze after 9pm. I mean come on I'm just getting started at 9.

Not sure if you can buy just the button, but give er hell. That is just one of the failure points of the oil filter system on these trucks. There is also a drain valve in the bottom of the filter housing that can cause the housing to drain all the time. Make sure you use Ford factory oil filters and Ford oil filter caps.

It's going well I'm sending my injectors out today. And I have to go buy a new torque wrench to get these studs tight. Then I'll be at a stand still till the new injectors come in.
