HFCM drain plug?

So sorry to post so much tring to get this thing to live again. It looks like their is a drain plug on the HFCM I asume to drain water out of filter but the insert looks to be rounded out any one have luck removing? don't want to break housing.

That's very common. You are gonna have to find an easy out and try to get it out. As far as a replacement I don't remember if they are serviced seperatly from Ford. But there is an aftermarket plug available: HFCM Drain Plug at DieselManor

Have you tried removing it yet? I just changed my filters and the plug today, mine was somewhat rounded out from someone trying to remove it with the wrong size im sure. Wasnt very tight, helps if you have a allen thats in good shape and not rounded off to begin with

Mine was a b***h to remove and ended up rounding out. Soaked it good with penetrating oil let it sit a day and it came out the next day after tapping in the next larger size allen key 7mm. May not work all the time but did for me. Got a plug from a friend who had an old unit lying around and installed it with anti sieze, never had a problem since.
