Coolant
Ok I checked my coolant the other day, it has green coolant . I've read that this is not a good thing, why? Any way to tell if my oil cooler/egr cooler were changed in the past? I've only had this a little over a year, had the turbo and egr valve replaced already don't want to do anything more except the egr delete. TIA. John

Sure.... First of all, take some pictures of the top of the motor and we can see if you have an egr cooler. For the green stuff, don't stress just find a link on how to do a full flush and have at it. Green has silicates that dont do will with high heat. If you DO have an egr cooler, it is critical you do a flush like now. Also get some gauges to see the health of your oil cooler.

I've got the scangauge II coming, should be here next week. I'm sure I have an egr cooler, I had the egr valve replaced under warranty. The Ford mechanic wanted to do an egr delete but couldn't since it was still under warranty which I didn't want to void. Now the warranty is bye bye so I'm planning on doing the delete, gotta figure out what else is needed. Thanks. Coach
