Front End and Steering Shot!!!
Well with only 85k miles on the truck its all bad! Went to take my truck in for an alignment before the new tires get installed and figured I had a tie rod out. Well to my luck my steering box is leaking, pitman arm is loose, both outer tie rods are bad, inner upper tie rod bad and all 4 Ball joints are shot. $407 at RockAuto Later its going to be a fun weekend. Anybody ever rebuild there steering box? I dont know if mine is still good and just has a seal leak or what?

I've resealed a box once but if your sector shaft is rusted up around the seal you'll never get it to stop leaking. The sector shaft is not servicable seperately either. Really a reseal is a gamble, I just recently put a box in my truck for the same leak, didn't want to take the chance.
Also if you're thinking about this you need an inch pound beam style torque wrench to get the meshload set right. Don't feel bad about the suspension though. I just did all my balljoints and draglink at 65K |

Sounds good I havent checked the box yet to see where it is leaking. Im waiting to put all the other parts on first so I can see if the box is even still good. My steering has about 4" of play
