procomp lower coil spacer?

A guy who works at 4wd parts told me you can use the 2008+ lower coil lift spacer on our trucks for an extra 2". Even with already having a 2" spacer on top of my 8" fabtech coil.
Is there any truth to this?

Even though you physically could, it sounds dangerous to me, but YMMV.

What actually holds the spring in place weight?
