Set the defuel at 1350 and get yourself a 5" turbo back streight pipe exhuast. You wont hit it anymore unless your progrmming to the extrem.

5" over the 4" isn't gonna gain anythin.. I would say try different tuning... with my extreme race pmax stud tune... i can very rarely get over 1400*F from 0-100++mph

Some of my tunes... I have seen 1600*F plus...

If temps are only that high for a few seconds.. you wont hurt anythiing

If you get up to 35 you are having a issue with your turbo. It is sticking open, I just had this issue. Means your unison ring is worn and is catching open, and it will eventually eat your turbo housing. With programing maybe it hits 30 PSI if it goes to 35 that is no good. Now that mine is cleaned, and new unision ring it only boost to 28. That is ford spec, you can tell buy running it on AE and run the boost test, at 1800RPM it is suposed to boost 2psi or just over.

My egt's when hammering it pushing my 38's I never get above 1275, most of the time WOT 1150.
