OBDII bluetooth & "TORQUE" android App.
Just wondering if anyone has used this combo with any success?. What did you like? what did you not like? I saw the app in the market and wondered if it was worth a second look.
Thanks guys, Todd |

I run it in my truck and love it. It's like having 6 more gauges than I already have. My screen I usually monitor is boost, ficm, intake temp, oil temp, hpop, and ipr

I have the Torque application running off of a PX bluetooth receiver. However, my Edge Insight is far superior for everyday use and has many more functions than the Torque application. My advice is to use the money you were going to spend on the Torque/blutooth and purchase an Edge instead.

Not to hijack this thread but has anyone used the Dash Command app for iPhone with any success? Or is there a better one for iPhone?

I asked them about being able to monitor EOT, ECT, FICM. I'll tack on HPOP, IPR, and ICP to my thread over there.

Furthermore, let us be realistic from an everyday standpoint. If you are going to use your phone to run the app, then you are going to have problems with monitoring and talking a call at the same time. It also wears the battery down on the phone if you do not have it hardwired in. I tow a race car and need to monitor full time. i use my torque for diagnostics on my other cars, but I love my Edge hardwired in full time for the 6.0. I can speak on the phone via bluetooth and not worry about anything while I am on the road. You can monitor many more variables with the Edge. |
