Potentially disturbing blackstone UOA results! 300k 6.0 powerstroke
Well, here is my blackstone report. First one, Right now I'm not placing too much stock in it for the following reasons: This is the first oil change since a MAJOR top end overhaul-complete valvejob, headgaskets, studs, oil cooler, coolant flush, injectors, etc. I'm sure when I removed the heads that quite a bit of coolant found it's way into the crankcase, as did fuel, and metal from all the machining on the heads. In addition, right before I drained the oil, I replaced another injector-I'm sure that has something to do with the fuel dilution. If the next report shows similar results, then I'll be a bit concerned. What do you guys think!

Why did you bother doing a UOA after all that work?

It was more to determine how long I could stretch the oil change intervals on synthetic rather than to see the contaminants.

Do 2-3 oil changes before a UOA. Save yourself the hair pulling...........
