OK so I'm kinda worried now about coolant mixing, I just did a heater core and I dont know what was in my truck already (just new to me in Feb,) it was a greenish yellow I think some A$$ mixed it with whatever they had, When I did core and lower hose I let drain for 2 days even started it once or twice for a sec to move and got a little more, so I filled with ELC, well after job was done was driving and lost a heater hose and 3 gal of coolant, so Im not sure if there was any of whatever was in it is still in it, My ? is am I gonna have any issues with the mix I might have I am gonna do a flush and cooler and studs and whatever els maybe around spring or when I get all my parts to gether.
Sorry for such long post just new the ole SIX-OHHHHHHH |

Just keep an eye on you temps till your ready to do it. Should be ok. Might be good idea for you to look into a coolant filter system though. They are only about 150 and will be good for before and after your flush.

Thanks that's what I was hoping. And I actually already have a coolant filter. Put it on not long after I got the truck and new filter is getting ready to go on also.

Greenish yellow is the ford gold. Definitely get a coolant filter on there.
