2005 Amarillo??

my dad is trading in his truck, he has a 2004 f350 cclb with the 6.0 in it 122000, looking to trade it in for a 2005 f350 ccsb with the 6.0 and 90000.

my question is: how do you find out if the truck is an amarillo? i mean the truck is bright *** yellow and has the black leather interior, with all the options imaginable. But everywhere we look, it looks like they didnt start all the amarillo badging until 2006. Its a beautiful truck, not a scratch on it, 1 owner, all the turbo, studs, egr, oil cooler stuff has been taken care of. even if it isnt an amarillo i think we'll probably get it because its different.

my buddy used to have one with all the options as a amarillo but it was not a amarillo if its amarillo it will have it on the seats i believe

It will have it on the pink for sure, heck get the vin call another ford dealership and ask them to run the vin to see what it is. Tell them you are looking at this truck or possibly on on there lot

All the Amarillo's will say it on the seats. Like said above

thanks guys. turns out the truck is an amarillo... but has no marking of it. no seats, gauges, bed, or center console.

In 2005 the Amarillo was a S.W. regional limited edition (maybe only in Texas?).
Not sure what the 2005 model came with on the interior?
On the outside the 05 model had black mirrors and tow hooks (?)... where as the 06 came with chrome mirrors and tow hooks.
I do think the 05 should of had the "Amarillo" graphics on the box, but those are easily removed.

I had a 2006 Amarillo for a few years, was a very nice truck, but you could never go anywhere incognito
The only reason I sold it was the new camper was too heavy for the SRW F350

if the 2005 amarillo was ordered with the fx4 offroad package then the amarillo sticker was replaced with the fx4 sticker, which is what the case is on this truck.

the truck does have black mirrors and does have tow hooks.

they didnt start doing all the markings of an amarillo until 2006.

ive even had a couple people tell me that if its the factory yellow, meaning it hasnt been painted, then it is in fact an amarillo, because they only released that color in the SE amarillo package.

regaurdless if it is an amarillo, we bought it and are very happy with how much better the 2005 performs and handles compared to the 2004 model. seems a ton quieter and a lot smoother.
