I am confused. This is the intank fuel pickup:

Is this what you mean?
The part number for JUST the end of the pickup is 9A011 but I don't think you can get just this part. The whole fuel sender assembly is PS-138 for the aft-of-axle tank, and PS-139 for the mid-ship tank (both are listed as PN: 9275 at FordParts.com).

Hope you may provide a bit more detail on what you mean by "sock."
