If I delete my EGR

I have a 04' 6.0 F250 with a Edge Evolution in it. If I delete my EGR what can I do not to code/engine light my truck.

It might not turn the light on but it will set an insufficient flow code that can't be deleted.

2004 should not throw a engine code,if it does you can always just leave egr valve in and hooked up.It won't be doing anything except opening and closing, but computer will think it's working and not throw any codes at all. Also if you have emissions the valve will be there and hooked up not to draw any attendition to being deleted.

Can you tell me more info about this, like to know, don't want to give info that is incorrect.I have done the egr delete on my 2004 and didn't get a check engine light. However I did recieve a code when scanned about egr. Also I was told by one of the 6.0 powerstroke custom tuners that I should put egr valve back in and hook it up,since computer will know if not hooked up and not trip on cooling fans during heavy pulling. If I was told wrong I would really what to know about it.Thanks

The '04 shouldn't throw a CEL, but it will give a code.

Must have been posting just before I posted. That's what I said about 2004 ,no engine light (CEL) but a code in computer, and like I said before if you leave EGR valve in and plugged, but delete the egr cooler you won't have code either, unless my 2004 truck is different than everone elses. Also like I posted earlier a custom tuner (Matt at gearheads)told me about the cooling thing even thou he could just delete code altogether. If I was told wrong or anyone else has anything to add to what I was told, let me know.

What are you using to pull the EGR codes?

The SCT isn't a good code reader, my SCT don't show the EGR codes, but my AE does.

That isn't what you posted. You said no code at all. Most likely won't trip the light but the insufficient flow code will be present. Deleting the cooler all together won't keep it from setting the code either. Removing the EGR valve or unplugging it can keep the cooling fans from working properly.
