How to flush oil?

Ok so in the process of doing an EGR delete on the little womans 6.0 I discovered that the oil is a little grey with only 100 miles on a fresh oil change. So I'm picking up an oil cooler today and going to replace it. My question is how do I get the existing coolant out of the oil?

I want to make sure it's clean for obvious reasons and also to allow me to watch it to see if she has a headgasket problem or if it was just the oil cooler.
