Broken injector clips?

While doing an EGR delete on the little woman's F250, I got the harness bound and snapped the connector off of the injector. The plug and pins are all fine, but it broke a couple of the little plastic ears off of the injector that the metal clip hooks onto.

I REALLY don't want to have to buy a new injector. Do you think a guy could use some high temp silicone? Plug the harness into the injector then put a layer of silicone over the outside to hold the two together. Looks like once it fully cured it wold work since there's nothing pulling on the injectors, just vibration.
