blue egr cooler hose install

I have to put my egr cooler back on for smog and have ordered all the gaskets but am not sure about the blue egr hose. When I was taking it off i just cut it and i have read about people puttingit on with the two lines facing up then turning it and i have also read that people put it on with the single line facing up so I am just confused what is the correct way to lock down the hose?
