05 powertroke vs. 05 duramax

Looking at 2 trucks right now and wanting some extra advise

I have a 07 powerstroke right now that i am selling. Im looking at a studded and deleted 05 stroker that has 160,000 miles on it and a 05 duramax with 168,000 miles

are they both reliable? which one is better and please dont be bias.

I love my powerstroke

well i cant help alot but ill give ya wat i can....I personally like the looks of a dmax, more then a powerstroke the body lines, shape everything, but the interior of a powerstroke is a lot bigger then a duramax....a ton of more room....as far as the engine goes, I wont buy anything with that many miles, i know its a diesel, but its just to many miles for me, but it does seem like if u stud, and delete the 6.0 they are pretty hard to beat...seems like they will last for awhile....give it some time and someone will chime in with some good info

You planning on leaving them stock or tuning them?

I plan on leaving them stock. They would be used mostly for pulling enclosed trailer or a car trailer

To be honest, either truck would be good for what you want. Personally, I would go for the 6.0 since it's already studded and deleted. I like having the solid front axle vs. the IFS and in my own opinion, the TorqShift is a lot better trans. than the Allison, especially if they are tuned.

I would go with the 6.0 because of the interior room and the solid front axle. Never towed with a dmax before but from what I hear the stroker tows a lot nicer than the dmax does.
