New With a couple of questions
Nice place you got here! I just had a couple of questions that have been nagging at me. I have an 07 F350 Harley edition 6.0 Diesel, I have 66k on it and it still runs great, I have had to change the batteries a couple of times and right after I bought it in sept of 06 with about 3k I had an injector replaced but since then I have had no issues. Howeve I want to head any problems off so I am looking at adding the head studs. So 1st question is, is this a good thing to do since I've had no issues thus far. No. 2 what does the EGR do and would deleting it be a good idea since I live in Califorina would it screw with getting the smog cert done. Thanks in advance and hope to be on alot.

A monitoring solution like the Edge Insight CS/CTS or ScangaugeII should be first on your list, you need to check and monitor the health of your motor.
Here is some reading material for you. Things to consider about owning a 6.0L After you have checked the health of your motor, then address the issues. If you need to dig into the motor for said issues (oil cooler), then at the time consider updating the parts nesassary. Here is another good read. Write Up: Bullet-Proofing the 6.0L PSD. Since you live in Cali, consider the BulletProofDiesel EGR cooler to keep you legal. |
