What is the STC Fitting

I was just doing some org casual reading and am finding all sorts of stuff about 05 models having a bad STC fitting. What is this thing and what does it do? I read in one thread to check the oasis to see if the dealer did this with the previous owner and mine says "HI PSI OIL FITTING FAILURE DEFECT REPAIR PER TSB 06 17 06" in 2007 so does that mean mine is good. Its also had the head gaskets replaced under warranty in June 2011. I am a hypochondriac when it comes to my truck.

STC = Snap To Connect and it is located on the HPOP. It appears that it has been taken care of under warranty.
