bilstein 5100..... I am finding they are about $70 a shock! Is that a good price? Much better than my factory?
Sorry guys, dont know much about shocks if they aint on a Mustang. |

I got all of mine for $300 at 4wheelparts so $70 a piece would be a good deal IMO.

The Bilstien's made a nice improvement over the stock shocks.

Cool. Yea, its like any non FX4 truck I am in ride is great. All the FX4 trucks seem to have those shocks go bad soon. Right at 50k I started to feel it a tad.
Even my Dads 03 non Fx4 still has good shocks. Not sure if I am crazy or not. |

IIRC, the Rancho shocks on the FX4 package is just fords OEM shock with the Rancho sticker on it.

Can you purchase 5100's with STOCK ride height? I have an '04 BTW. John |

For your 04 they only come in the yellow and blue monotube for the front, but they are a great shock. I have them on my 04 fx4 cc with a zone off road level kit that uses stock height shocks beause the minipack that raises the front goes under the springpack. I had dual procomp mx6s on my old 04 with a 4 inch lift (the white one on my signature) they rode really well being both monotube like a bilstein, andadjustable like a Rancho 9000. Bilstein has 5160s for these trucks @ about $250 each.
