Looking at buying two 6.0's

Looking at buying two fords right now and would like some opinions on them and price advice.

One is a 2004 F-350 crew cab SB XLT 4x4 with 192,000 miles on it, very clean and taken care of... rhino on the undercarriage... asking $15,995, for the wife..

The other is a 2006 F-250 crew cab SB King Ranch 4x4 with everything (nav, video system in back seats, pretty much everything) with 83,000 miles on it, asking $26,995, for me!

We have horses so we will both be doing a lot of towing with them. I'd like to know your thoughts on the both of them mainly the 04 and the reliability on the high mileage and also the 6.0L in general. I currently have a 5.9 cummins so i'm used to diesels. Thank you very much!

I would but unfortunatly it's too expensive for her and doesn't have the features i'd like.

That's what I'm getting into but it seems more proper care than my cummins was( fuel filter is basically it) I'm new to the whole egr system and that seems to be an issue a lot of people run into. What other kinds of things need to be "maintained"

Get an oasis on them and see what repairs have been done.

The report shows previous warranty work done to the vehicle. Take the vin numbers to your Ford dealer and ask them for the full OASIS report for them.

To me they look good. I live in Pittsburgh so anything nice (not a work truck or eaten by salt) is expensive. I had to drive to MD to get a clean truck.

Not Knocking ya ,but I can't see a 2004 for 16,000 with 197,000 miles on it.
Mine apx 65,000 thousands miles 4,000 more and a 2005
4x4x change on the fly from cab, 4 door, 6 cd player, upfitter switches ,factory built in braking system, which is the smoothest and sweetest I've ever used, lots of stuff.
Buy you a little cheaper one.

I'm with JER-1 he has a great truck at a good price with most mods that you will have to do already on it, the 04 you are looking at with 200k on it for $16k-- LOL when your are through you will have $5K more into it plus i think the 06 is high also 3 years ago i got mine the same as that one but not a King it has the DVD in the roof also with 17K on it for $28K but it is not my $$$ out of the 2 the 06 may be a better truck just my 2 cents.
